Creating a divine future by means of thought

You should set aside a few minutes every day in which to create a divine future for yourselves by means of thought. There is not much you can do about the present, but you are all-powerful where the future is concerned, for you are all sons and daughters of God, and the divine spark within you asks for nothing more than to return to the primordial Fire from which it came. You will say, ‘But we are so wretched and have such disabilities! How can we hope for a glorious future?’ Well, a remark like that shows that your reasoning is faulty. It is not people who are happy and fulfilled who need to imagine and wish for something better, but those who are unhappy, and they can do so a hundred times more intensely than the others. So, if you feel poor and disinherited, now is the time to use your thoughts to create a future of wealth and splendour.*
