In the depths of the subconscious
Equip yourself before diving
'You have to know that any true transformation has to be accomplished not by the power of conscious thought but by the powers of the subconscious. But what does the subconscious correspond to?
The subconscious is a vast and very dangerous region, comparable to the depths of the ocean. If you try to go down into it without the necessary equipment, you will come to a bad end, for it is full of monsters waiting to devour you. Everyone knows that deep sea divers and speleologists need special equipment when they go down to great depths. In fact, any dangerous undertaking requires not only appropriate physical training but also special protective equipment. And yet, when it is a question of going down into the deep recesses of their own nature, people imagine that it is easy, that they are in no danger. The truth is that the greatest dangers lie in these regions and you must be properly equipped.
The question now arises: how do you find the right equipment?
It is not as easy as all that. The psychic equipment you need can only be found in the region of the superconscious, above the level of consciousness and self-consciousness. You have to be sure to do some serious work in this region before you can safely dive down into the subconscious. This means that you not only have to learn a certain number of things about the structure of these subterranean regions and the entities that live in them, but you also have to develop certain virtues and qualities, particularly purity and self-mastery, so as to have the protection of a brilliant aura as you descend into the abyss.
But most psychoanalysts know nothing about these different regions of the subconscious, some of which are literally hell. They are inadequately trained, and they do not know that, like divers in the past who used the old-fashioned diving suits, they have to maintain a link with the surface, a rope by means of which their team-mates can pull them up in case of danger. Nothing in their way of life distinguishes them from the common herd; they make no attempt to purify or strengthen themselves spiritually, and yet they plunge into deep waters dragging others down with them.
Also, if you do not want to be crushed, devoured, annihilated, you must first link yourself to the superior spirits of the world of light, ask them for weapons, protection, and only then go into battle: feeling that you are armed, the lower spirits will disperse.
And as the heavenly entities who have befriended you know very well that humans have to explore their own depths before they can complete their evolution, if you do find yourself in danger they will not abandon you.'
