Analysis and synthesis –individualism is analysis, brotherhood is synthesis

By modelling themselves on scientists, who for centuries have led them down the path of analysis, human beings have lost their view of the whole, their synthetic vision of things. Of course, a problem has to be analyzed, but solutions can best be found through a method of synthesis, that is, by situating the problem within the whole. Only synthesis is life-giving. When we persist in analyzing and taking everything and everyone apart, we are heading towards death: first, spiritual death and then physical death.
Individualism is a form of analysis that drives people to cut themselves off, to isolate and separate themselves from others, and it too leads to spiritual death. A collectivity or brotherhood, on the other hand, is a synthesis that brings life.
Without this desire to establish universal brotherhood in the world, human beings will destroy themselves. In order to maintain life, it is vital to have a high ideal, and that ideal is the kingdom of God on earth—true universal brotherhood.*
