Initiation

A very long path before being able to guide others

The path of Initiation is very long and very difficult, make no mistake about it. Those who claim that it is possible to become a clairvoyant, a magus or an Initiate in three months or a year are deluding themselves and deluding others as well. No sooner have they learned about certain spiritual practices than many people believe they are Masters, already qualified to instruct others. Well, no. That is impossible.
You must study and practise for a very long time before you are able to guide others in the spiritual life, otherwise you will be courting disaster both for yourself and for them. Of course, even if you are not very advanced, you can always teach what you already know. But you must never teach what you do not know and what you are still incapable of realizing. As we have often seen, when the blind try to lead the blind, they fall off the cliff together!*
