How to consider them in order to evolve

Whoever you are, and wherever you may be, you will encounter adversaries with whom you must struggle. But there are two kinds of struggles: either you do away with your enemies or you spare them. If you do away with your enemy you will no longer have to struggle, and that will be a disaster, as you will no longer make progress. If you spare them so that you can contend with them for the rest of your life, you will become strong.
Very many people try to rid themselves of their enemies, and what happens when they finally succeed? They are not any happier; they feel that something is missing for they needed to pit themselves against their enemies. So instead of destroying your foes, learn how to go about becoming better and stronger, and you will help your enemies to improve at the same time! But you will succeed only if you consider them as indispensable agents for your evolution.*
