Family is not an end but a point of departure

Family is not an end, a goal, but a point of departure. Those who focus all their attention and efforts only on their family, neglecting everybody else around them, do not realize they are creating conditions that foster misunderstandings and hostility on the part of all other families, and this will end up resembling a clash between clans, between tribes. Worst of all, there is no guarantee that with this mindset, they will even make their own family happy. The proof of this is that today we see more and more families falling apart: after a while, the parents separate and form ties elsewhere, and the children are left with a father on one side and a mother on the other. Is this what we call a happy family life? There are so many notions that need to be straightened out today!
