A sense of the sacred
By respecting the divine, you respect human beings
April 17th 2021
Human beings no longer hold anything sacred; they have lost their sense of worship. You will say that they try to foster respect for their fellow man. Yes, but that is hardly anything, in fact it is nothing at all. For above and beyond man, there are multitudes of beings whom people neglect and do not even believe in. They hide behind their respect for their ‘fellow man’ to justify their lack of respect for anything else, even for the Creator himself.
In reality, you cannot truly respect human beings unless you give credence within yourself to something greater. Indeed, you will even do them harm because certain motives operating within you will eliminate this respect. It is only when you harbour a sacred feeling for something, or rather for a greater, more distant being – the Divine – that you will also respect human beings.
