Artists and initiates
Open up the divine world to humans
November 10th 2013
For most artists, the act of creation is just an instinct; they are impelled to express themselves, it is an inner need, but they do not particularly ask themselves what they, let alone others, gain from it. Often they will expound very earnestly on a few theories they have constructed, but their ideas are so personal and limited! You cannot call that ‘creating’. True creation begins with knowledge of the laws of the psychic and spiritual worlds, which are magic laws. So it involves modelling one’s work on the divine world.
To be an artist is to strive for perfection – perfection of meaning, form, movement, colour and sound – with the aim of opening up the divine world to human beings. And so true artists can be said to be initiates. They constantly ask themselves how to become one with the light, one with beauty, one with power, one with universal life.
