Symbolized by the mustard seed

This needs to be crystal clear in your mind. A spiritual teaching will bring you neither wealth, nor fame, nor social success. However, it will bring you truths that will produce a change in your consciousness. This change may be minute at first, but it contains all of heaven and earth.
Remember what Jesus said about the mustard seed: ‘It is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown, it becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.’ So, it is not the size of the seed that matters, but its vigour.
A mustard seed can symbolize an almost imperceptible thought or feeling which, if intense and if given the right conditions, will produce remarkable results. ‘The birds of the air come and nest in its branches’, said Jesus. These birds are spirits from the invisible world; they come to visit those who have embraced the spiritual life, and even find shelter within them.
