Alternation - law of life

All of life is subject to the law of alternation, which is the law of opposites. In the morning, light chases away night's shadows, and in the evening the shadows regain ground. Does this mean we can say that night is opposed to day and day to night? Yes and no. Yes, because light is the opposite of darkness, and no, because day and night work together to create and maintain life. Before a child comes into the world, it spends nine months hidden away in its mother's womb. For seeds to germinate, they have to remain underground for a certain time. And bees line their hive with wax, because they need the dark in order to make honey, and so on. Any number of different tasks are begun in the dark and only later see the light of day! Light and dark represent entities, currents, energies that nature uses for its work.
